Brake Bleeding: Service and Repair
Brake System Manual Bleeding
1. If equipped with rear drum brakes, attach a rubber drain hose to the RH rear bleeder screw and submerge the free end of the hose in a container
partially filled with clean brake fluid.
2. Have an assistant pump the brake pedal ten times and then hold firm pressure on the brake pedal.
3. Loosen the RH rear bleeder screw until clear, bubble-free brake fluid flows. Have an assistant maintain pressure on the brake pedal while
tightening the bleeder screw.
4. Tighten the wheel cylinder bleeder screw.
5. If equipped with rear disc brakes, attach a rubber drain hose to the RH rear disc brake caliper bleeder screw and submerge the free end of the hose
in a container partially filled with clean brake fluid.
