Coolant Line/Hose: Service and Repair
Removal
1. Drain engine coolant.
2. Remove the bolt from the bypass tube bracket.
3. Loosen the clamp and remove the hose at the thermostat housing.
4. Raise the vehicle.
5. Remove the bolt and water bypass tube from the water pump.
Installation
1. Note: Inspect the condition of the O-ring seal before re-assembly.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
2. Fill the cooling system with Ford Premium Engine Coolant E2FZ-19549-AA (in Oregon, F5FZ-19549-CC, in Canada, Motorcraft CXC-8-B) or
