Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Battery.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Remove the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.

Remove the bolt

Remove the CMP sensor.
INSTALLATION
1. Lubricate the O-ring seal lightly with Super Premium XO-5W-30-QSP Motor Oil or equivalent, meeting Ford specification WSS-M2C153-G.
Position the CMP sensor.
NOTE: Inspect the O-ring seal for damage; install a new seal if necessary.
2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
