ISSUE
Some 1999 - 2001 Escort ZX2 Coupe vehicles equipped with a 2.0L Zetec 4V engine may exhibit spark knock during acceleration. This may be caused
by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) calibration.
ACTION
If spark knock condition is verified and normal diagnostics cannot pinpoint condition, reprogram the PCM to the latest level calibration. Refer to the
following PCM Calibration Information Chart.
