Clutch Pedal Assembly: Service and Repair

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the brake pedal and bracket.

3. Remove the clutch pedal.

Remove the nut.

Remove the clutch pedal pivot bolt.

Installation

1. Note:  When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive

strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.

Align the clutch pedal to clutch release lever rod with the clutch master cylinder and install the clutch pedal assembly.

2. Note:  Align the clutch pedal, spacer and return spring and install it in the pedal assembly.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Check the clutch pedal adjustments.
