General Specifications
a NOTE: Refer to the dipstick and owner guide for the type of fluid required. Some fluid labels may indicate dual usage such as MERCON (R) and
MERCON V. Never use dual usage fluids in transmissions that use only MERCON type fluid. Only use dual usage fluids in transmissions that require
MERCON V Transmission Fluid.
MERCON ATF is being replaced by MERCON V ATF as a service fluid, per TSB 06-14-4..
NOTE: Using a transmission fluid that indicates a dual usage (MERCON and MERCON V in a transmission application requiring MERCON, may
cause transmission damage. Use of any fluid other than the recommended fluid can cause transmission damage.
b Use only MERCON Transmission Fluid to service the TorqShift transmission. Mixing MERCON or MERCON V in a TorqShift transmission may
cause transmission damage. Use of any fluid other than the recommended fluid can cause transmission damage.
