Calibration: All 1.6L
Customer concerns regarding cold starts and driveaways at altitude (above 4,000 ft.) with sea level calibration, may be serviced by employing the
following modifications to the choke system:
1.
Remove the air cleaner assembly and set aside.
2.
Remove the thermostatic housing (choke cap) as per the 1 981 Powertrain Escort/Lynx - Part 24-05-7.
3.
Remove the choke index plate.
