1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Cut the (Yellow - Circuit #37) and the (Light Green with Yellow Stripe - Circuit #354) about 2" from the cooling fan relay connector. Strip and
crimp both leads from the relay connector in one end of a #12 butt connector (C9AB-14488-D) (Figure 13).
3. Strip and crimp the harness end of (Circuit #37 -Yellow) into the other end of the butt connector.
4. Using friction tape (ESB-M3G71-A), tape the end of circuit #354 (Light Green with Yellow Stripe) wire feed back to the harness. Make sure that the
cut end is adequately insulated.
5. Connect the battery and perform a system check by connecting a jumper wire between the #197 circuit Tan-Org Dot and electrical ground. The
engine cooling fan should operate.
6. Install 1982 level Fan Warning Decal (E1EE-8653-AA) over the existing decal.
