Camshaft: Testing and Inspection

Clearance
NOTE: The camshaft journals must meet specification before checking camshaft journal clearance.
1. Remove the camshaft bearing cap.
2. Lay Plastigage across the face of the camshaft bearing surface.
3. Position the camshaft bearing cap and install the camshaft bearing cap bolts in the sequence indicated.
