Extension Housing: Service and Repair
Extension Housing Bushing Replacement
REMOVAL
1. Remove extension housing seal.
2. Remove the extension housing bushing.
(1) Install the Extension Housing Bushing Remover and Impact Slide Hammer.
(2) Remove the extension housing bushing.
CAUTION: Do not damage any machined surfaces.
INSTALLATION
1. Align the extension housing bushing notches at the 2 o'clock and 7 o'clock position in the extension housing.
CAUTION: Prior to installing the extension housing bushing, inspect the extension housing counterbore for burrs. If necessary, remove the burrs
with an oil stone.
2. Use the (A) Extension Housing Bushing Replacer to install the (B) extension housing bushing.
