Refer to Figure 1 for Step 8.

Disconnect exhaust support brace at rear transmission mount, then drive the vehicle.
If problem is corrected replace the support brace and rod by referring to Steps 8a-8m.
If problem is not corrected, proceed to Step 9.
NOTE
INSTALLING THE NEW BRACE REQUIRES THE REMOVAL OF THE EXHAUST HANGER "FINGERS" LOCATED ON THE
CROSSOVER TUBE NEAR THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE TRANSMISSION.
