Differential Clutch: Adjustments
Clutch Pack Preload - 8.8 Inch Axle
1. Separate the clutch discs and friction plates for cleaning and inspection.
CAUTION: When separating the clutch discs and clutch friction plates, note the sequence in which they are disassembled. They must be
reassembled in the same sequence.
2. Clean and inspect the differential clutch packs for wear and replace parts as necessary.
NOTE: Do not use acids or solvents when cleaning the differential clutch pack. Wipe components with a clean, lint-free cloth only.
