Rear Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair

EXTERIOR REAR DOOR HANDLE

Removal and Installation

NOTE:  The rear door window glass must be completely raised.

1. Remove the rear door trim panel.
2. Position the watershield aside.

3. Remove the childproof door lock cover.

4. Disconnect the exterior door handle actuation rod.

5. Remove the exterior rear door handle.

Remove the 2 nuts.

Push the exterior door handle out from the bottom surface of the handle.

6. NOTE:  Make sure the door handle and the rear door handle rod is in a relaxed position and that the rear door handle rod is all the way up before

closing the clips.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
