WARNING: Use of any other than approved DOT 3 motor vehicle brake fluid will cause permanent damage to brake components and will
render the brakes inoperative. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
WARNING: Brake fluid contains polyglycol ethers and polyglycols. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. If
brake fluid contacts eyes, flush eyes with running water for 15 minutes. Get medical attention if irritation persists. If taken internally, drink
water and induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
CAUTION: Brake fluid is harmful to painted and plastic surfaces. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately wash it with
water.
1. Remove the brake caliper.
2. Apply low air pressure to the fluid port in the brake caliper.

Place a block of wood between the caliper bridge and the caliper pistons.

Apply low air pressure to the fluid port in the brake caliper to force out the caliper pistons.

Remove the block of wood and the caliper pistons.
3. Remove the caliper piston seals and boots.
4. Inspect the caliper bores for scoring or corrosion. If scoring and corrosion exist, install a new brake caliper assembly.
Assembly
1. Lubricate the caliper piston boots, caliper pistons, caliper piston seals and caliper bores with DOT 3 brake fluid.
2. Install the caliper pistons into the caliper bores.

Install the piston seals onto the caliper pistons.

Install the caliper piston boots onto the caliper pistons.

Insert the caliper pistons into the caliper bores.

Press the caliper pistons into the caliper bores.
3. Install the brake caliper.
