Removal and Installation
CAUTION: Do not use oil- or grease-based lubricants on isolators as they deteriorate the rubber.
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Maintenance/Service and Repair.
2. Loosen the clamp, separate the isolator from the hanger and remove:

An extension pipe for Expedition models.

A resonator for Navigator models.
^
To install, tighten to 48 Nm (35 ft. lbs.).
3. Remove the 4 nuts and 2 stabilizer bar brackets.

Allow the bar to hang from the links.
^
To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
5. Detach the isolators from the muffler.
