Brake Bleeding: Service and Repair
Gravity Bleeding
- Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir with High Performance DOT 3 Brake Fluid C6AZ-1 9542-AB or DOT 3 equivalent meeting Ford specification
ESA-M6C25-A, DOT 3.
NOTE:The brake master cylinder reservoir cap must be left off during this procedure.
- Loosen both rear disc brake caliper bleeder screws and leave open until clear bubble-free brake fluid flows. Be sure to check the brake fluid level in
the brake master cylinder reservoir often. Do not let it run dry.
Tightening Rear Bleeder Screws
- Tighten the rear bleeder screws.
- Open the front disc brake caliper bleeder screws one at a time. Leave open until clear bubble-free brake fluid flows. Be sure to check the brake fluid
level in the brake master cylinder reservoir often. Do not let it run dry.
Tightening Front Bleeder Screws
- Tighten the front bleeder screws.
