Connecting Cable Adapter Into Vehicle Data Link Connector
5. Connect the (A) NGS DCL cable adapter into the (B) vehicle data link connector (DLC). Follow NGS procedure as per manufacturer's
specifications to puree air from the HCU.
6. Repeat the conventional bleed procedure as outlined in steps 1 through 4.
7. If the brake pedal feels spongy, repeat the NGS service bleed procedure.
Gravity Bleeding
- Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir with High Performance DOT 3 Brake Fluid C6AZ-1 9542-AB or DOT 3 equivalent meeting Ford specification
ESA-M6C25-A, DOT 3.
NOTE:The brake master cylinder reservoir cap must be left off during this procedure.
- Loosen both rear disc brake caliper bleeder screws and leave open until clear bubble-free brake fluid flows. Be sure to check the brake fluid level in
the brake master cylinder reservoir often. Do not let it run dry.
Tightening Rear Bleeder Screws
- Tighten the rear bleeder screws.
- Open the front disc brake caliper bleeder screws one at a time. Leave open until clear bubble-free brake fluid flows. Be sure to check the brake fluid
level in the brake master cylinder reservoir often. Do not let it run dry.
