Disconnect engine ground wire.

On A/C equipped vehicles, disconnect the A/C high pressure switch electrical connector.

Remove the A/C compressor manifold bolt and position the A/C lines aside.
12.
Disconnect two heater hoses.
13.
Raise and support vehicle.
14.
Remove starter.
15.
Remove oil drain plug and drain the oil.
16.
Install the oil drain plug.
17.
Remove the two LH exhaust manifold to exhaust pipe bolts.
18.
Remove the two RH exhaust manifold to exhaust pipe bolts.
19.
Disconnect transmission electrical harness connector.
20.
Disconnect the RH heated exhaust gas oxygen (HEGO) sensor electrical connector.
21.
Disconnect the LH HEGO sensor electrical connector.
22.
Remove transmission cooling line bracket bolt and position it aside.
23.
Remove the A/C line bracket nut and position it aside.
24.
Remove the power steering cooler return hose.
25.
Remove the power steering pressure line.
26.
Disconnect the vapor management valve (VMV) hose connector.
Remove the torque converter-to-flywheel nuts.
27.
Remove transmission-to-engine bolts.
28.
Lower vehicle.
29.
Remove the two RH motor mount nuts.
30.
Remove the two LH motor mount nuts.
31.
Install lifting eyes on engine. Tighten retaining bolts to 35-39 (26-29 lb/ft).
32.
Using floor crane, raise and remove the engine.
Installation
1.
Using floor crane, position engine in vehicles.
2.
Install two LH motor mount nuts. Tighten nuts to 88-132 Nm (65-97 lb/ft).
3.
Install two RH motor mount nuts. Tighten nuts to 88-132 Nm (65-97 lb/ft).
4.
Remove engine lifting chains
5.
Raise and support vehicle.
6.
Align torque converter studs with flywheel holes, then install transmission-to-engine retaining bolts. Tighten bolts to 40-55 Nm (30-41 lb/ft).
7.
Install four (4) torque converter-to-flywheel nuts. Rotate crankshaft as needed to gain access to all flywheel nuts. Tighten nuts to 30-40 Nm (22-30
