Compass: Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
1. Verify the customer concern by operating the compass and thermometer.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.

Damaged compass and thermometer.

Damaged thermometer sensor.

Damaged Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS).
Electrical

Fuse.

Damaged wiring harness.

Loose or corroded connections.
3. If inspection reveals obvious concern(s) that can be readily identified, repair or replace as required.
