Conical Style
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive
strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.
2. Release the (A) air cleaner clamp and disconnect the (B) Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor extension wiring from the engine wiring harness.
3. Separate the (A) engine air cleaner cover from the (B) engine air cleaner intake.
4. Remove the (A) MAF sensor extension harness connector from the engine air cleaner cover and peel back the (B) wire convolute and slide the (C)
grommet down the extension wire.
