Engine Control Module: Removal and Replacement
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
NOTE: When the battery has been disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle adapts. The
vehicle may need to be driven 16 km(10 mi)or more to relearn.
2. Loosen the (A) bolt and unplug the (B) Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector.
3. Remove the (A) nuts and the (B) PCM cover.
4. Remove the PCM.
