3. Inspect the fluid pump support needle bearings and cage for scored or missing rollers.

4. Remove the fluid pump housing.

(1) Remove the six fluid pump bolts.
(2) Remove the fluid pump support and gear and the fluid pump adapter plate.

5. Remove the fluid pump gears and front pump adapter plate.

NOTE:

A rough casting on the pump surface crescent is not a flaw.

The fluid pump gears are part of the pump assembly and are not serviced separately.

6. Remove the drive gear O-ring and discard. Inspect the fluid pump gears for cracks and scoring. Replace front pump support and gear assembly if

damaged.
