Overdrive Indicator Lamp: Description and Operation
OVERDRIVE / OVERDRIVE OFF
The O/D OFF indicator will illuminate indicating that the transmission is locked out of the overdrive gear (4th gear).
This dual-function lamp will also flash on and off in the event of a transmission fault.
NOTE: When the overdrive indicator flashes on and off, a concern has been detected in certain transmission related sensors or solenoids. Refer to
Transmission Control Systems for diagnosis.
