Intake Manifold: Service and Repair
Lower

REMOVAL 

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. 
2. Remove the upper intake manifold. 
3. Disconnect the fuel line. 

4. Disconnect the fuel injector, the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, the water temperature indicator sender unit and the oil pressure sensor from

the engine control sensor wiring.

5. Remove both the valve covers and the valve cover gaskets. 
6. Remove the water thermostat. 

7. Remove the lower intake manifold.

Remove the bolts.

-

Remove the lower intake manifold.

8. Remove the lower intake manifold gaskets.
