Explorer 2WD V6-245 4.0L VIN X SFI (1999)
6. Use the Valve Spring Compressor and remove the valve spring retainer key.
7. Remove the valve spring retainer.
8. Remove the valve spring.
9. Inspect the valve spring.
10. Use the Valve Seal Remover and remove the valve stem seal.
Installation
1. NOTE: Lubricate the valve stem with Super Premium SAE-5W30 Motor Oil X0-5W30-QSP or equivalent meeting Ford specification
WSS-M2C153-G.
Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Install the rocker arm shaft assembly and tighten in two steps:
