Ignition Switch Mechanical Check
Test the mechanical operation of the ignition switch by rotating the lock cylinder through all switch positions. The movement should not stick or bind
and should return the START position back to the ON position without assistance (spring return). If sticking or binding is encountered, check for the
following:

Burrs on the lock cylinder key.
^
Insufficient lube on lock cylinder.
^
Bent or damaged ignition rod.
^
Object rubbing against ignition rod.
