Selector Shaft: Service and Repair

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.

3. NOTE:  It is not necessary to remove the transmission fluid filter to perform this procedure.

Remove the transmission fluid pan.

4. Remove the digital Transmission Range (TR) sensor.

5. Remove the manual control valve detent lever spring.

Remove the manual control valve detent lever spring screw.

Remove the manual control valve detent lever spring.

6. CAUTION:  Do not damage the valve inner lever pin. 

Remove the manual valve inner lever nut.
