Pressure Plate: Adjustments

1. NOTE:  Self-adjusting clutch pressure plate must be adjusted before installation.

Compress the clutch diaphragm fingers.

Place the flywheel and the clutch pressure plate in a press.

Use a suitable adapter and a press to depress the clutch diaphragm fingers until the adjusting ring moves freely.

2. Adjust the clutch pressure plate.

Rotate the (A) adjusting ring counterclockwise until the (B) tension springs are compressed.

Hold the (A) adjusting ring while releasing the pressure on the clutch fingers.
