Explorer 2WD V6-4.0L VIN K Flex Fuel (2002)
2. Remove the restraint system diagnostic tool from the LH side air curtain vehicle harness electrical connector.
3. Connect the LH side air curtain electrical connector.
4. Install the LH side C-pillar trim panel.

Position the trim panel sliding the upper retainer into the sheet metal opening.

Push in on the C-pillar trim panel at the bottom, seating the lower retaining tab.
WARNING: ANYTIME THE SIDE AIR CURTAIN HAS DEPLOYED, THE HEADLINER, AND ALL A, B, AND C PILLAR UPPER
TRIM PANELS AND ATTACHING HARDWARE MUST BE REPLACED ALONG WITH ANY OTHER DAMAGED COMPONENTS
AND HARDWARE. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY IN THE EVENT OF A SIDE AIR CURTAIN
DEPLOYMENT.
NOTE: Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted prior to installation.
5. Install the LH side C-pillar trim panel clips.
