Removal

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
2. Remove the driveshaft.
3. Using the special tools, remove the extension housing seal.

Installation

1. NOTE: Make sure the extension housing seal is correctly installed onto the special tool and the garter spring is in the correct position.

Using the special tool, install the extension housing seal.

2. Install the driveshaft.
3. Carry out the transmission fluid level check. See: Service and Repair/Procedures/Transmission Fluid Level Check
