Vacuum Brake Booster: Service and Repair

Removal 

1. Remove the brake master cylinder. 

2. Disconnect the power brake booster hose.

Compress the clamp.

Disconnect the power brake booster hose.

3. Disconnect the brake pedal to power brake booster push rod.

Remove the self-locking pin.

Remove the stoplight switch and the brake booster push rod from the brake pedal pin.

3

Remove the brake booster push rod bushing.

4. Remove the bulkhead sound insulator.
