Position the driver seatback to a straight-up position. See Figure 5.

Carefully pull the outside of the seatback trim cover up to expose the recliner upper bolt. See Figure 6.

Remove and discard the upper bolt.

Remove and discard the plastic bushing. See Figure 7.

CAUTION: Be sure to use the correct spacer for the application.
