Move the range selector lever slowly through each gear, stopping in each position and allowing the transmission to engage (Figure 6).

Place the range selector lever in the Park position.

Raise and support the vehicle with the engine running. For additional information, refer to Workshop Manual Section 100-02.
7.
If needed, use special tool 205-025 to set the vehicle as close to level as possible (Figure 7).
8.
Place a suitable drain pan under the vehicle.
