RATTLE FROM DVD SCREEN LATCH ASSEMBLY

ISSUE
Some 2003-2005 Explorer 4drlMountaineerlAviator vehicles equipped with a factory installed DVD player may exhibit a rattling noise coming from the
flip down screen latch assembly.
ACTION
To repair, replace the DVD screen latch assembly.
Refer to the following Service Procedure.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
NOTE
IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE DVD ASSEMBLY FROM THE VEHICLE DURING THIS REPAIR.
NOTE
NO TOOLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS REPAIR.
1.
Position the DVD screen in the down position.
2.
Gently pull the latch out from the bottom of the DVD screen.
3.
Install the new latch, making sure that the latch is lined up with the grooves in the body of the screen and gently sliding the latch into place.
