Expansion Block/Orifice Tube: Service and Repair

EVAPORATOR CORE ORIFICE

SPECIAL TOOL(S)

REMOVAL

NOTE:

-

Installation of a new suction accumulator is not required when repairing the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of
contamination from a failed A/C compressor or damage to the suction accumulator.

-

New O-ring seals, lubricated in clean PAG oil, must be installed before reconnecting any A/C fitting which has been disconnected.

1. Remove the condenser to evaporator line.

2. Remove the components in the order indicated in the illustration and table.

Item 2: Evaporator Core Orifice Removal Note

1. Inspect the evaporator core orifice for damage before attempting to remove it from the line.
