8. Reconnect the passenger air bag electrical connector.
9. Reconnect the battery ground cable.
10. Prove out the system.
Seats Not Removed
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
WARNING: THE AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS MUST BE REMOVED AND THE AIR BAG MODULES
RECONNECTED WHEN THE SYSTEM IS REACTIVATED TO AVOID NON-DEPLOYMENT IN A COLLISION, RESULTING IN
POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.
2. Wait at least one minute for the backup power supply in the Restraints Control Module (RCM) to deplete its stored energy.
3. Remove the restraint system diagnostic tool from the clockspring connector.

Reconnect the electrical connector.

4. Remove the restraint system diagnostic tool from the passenger air bag electrical connector.

VEHICLE PRIOR TO ROAD USE. FAILURE TO REMOVE COULD RESULT IN INJURY AND POSSIBLE VIOLATION OF
VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARDS.
5. Reconnect the passenger air bag electrical connector.
6. If equipped with side air bags, remove the restraint system diagnostic tool from the floor connector beneath the front passenger seat.

7. If equipped with side air bags, reconnect the side air bag electrical connector beneath the passenger seat.
8. If equipped with side air bags, remove the restraint system diagnostic tool from the floor connector beneath the driver seat.

9. If equipped with side air bags, reconnect the side air bag electrical connector beneath the driver seat.
10. Reconnect the battery ground cable.
11. Prove out the system.
