5. Seat the rubber grommet in the bulkhead opening.
6. Rotate the gearshift lever clockwise until it bottoms out (first gear), then rotate it counterclockwise two detents (OD position).
7. Hang a 1.4 kg (3 lbs.) weight on the gearshift lever.
8. Raise and support the vehicle.
9. Position the shift cable bracket and install the bolts.
10. Connect the shift cable to the shift cable bracket. Do not connect the shift cable to the manual control lever at this time.
11. Adjust the shift cable.
