5. Remove and discard the converter inlet gasket. If necessary, remove the heated oxygen sensors.
6. CAUTION: Make sure that the dual converter Y-pipe to exhaust manifold nuts are tightened after the three-way catalytic converter is installed.
NOTE: Make sure to apply anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the sensors before installation.
NOTE: Clean the mating surfaces of the catalytic converters.
NOTE: Install a new converter inlet gasket.
NOTE: Use new exhaust fasteners. To correctly seat the catalytic converters, alternately tighten the nuts to specification.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Check and, if necessary, align the exhaust system.
