Oil Pan: Service and Repair
Engine oiling system. V8-302, 351, 400
F-100-350 & BRONCO V8-255, 302, 351W, 351M & 400
1.
Remove the oil level dipstick and tube, then remove the fan shroud attaching bolts and position shroud over the fan.
2.
Remove engine mounts to chassis bracket retaining nuts.
3.
If equipped with automatic transmission, disconnect the oil cooler line from the left side of the radiator.
4.
On all vehicles equipped with V8-351M and 400 engines, remove starter.
5.
Raise engine and place wooden blocks between the engine mounts and chassis brackets.
6.
Drain the oil pan, then remove the oil pan attaching bolts and lower the oil pan onto the crossmember.
7.
Remove the pickup tube attaching bolts then lower the pickup tube into the oil pan and remove the oil pan.
8.
Reverse procedure to install.
