Article No. 83-24-24
HESITATION/STALLS (5.0L) - DURING LIGHT ACCELERATION IN HOT WEATHER
LIGHT TRUCKS 1983-84 E, F AND BRONCO
CALIBRATIONS: 1983-84 Light Truck 5.0L under 8500 lb. GVW
Some 1983 and 1984 vehicles built prior to 1984 calibration level (R11) may exhibit hesitations/stalls on light acceleration after hot soak and/or idle
because of large amounts of fuel vapor in the carbon canister. The installation of a manifold vacuum bleed to the canister will help minimize this
concern.
