7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the selector lever cable bracket.
8. Disconnect the selector lever cable from the transmission.

Unlock the selector lever cable adjustment lock by rotating the lock upward and remove the selector lever cable from the manual control lever.

Disconnect the selector lever cable from the selector lever cable bracket.
Vehicles equipped with 4.6/5.4L engines
9. If necessary, remove the 2 bolts and the selector lever cable bracket.
