7. Remove the hog rings on the back side of the backrest cushion.

8. NOTE:
-
The inboard and outboard head restraint sleeves are not interchangeable.

If necessary, install new head restraint sleeves.
Access and push the release tab and pull the head restraint sleeve out of the backrest frame tube.
9. Remove the backrest trim cover.
10. Disconnect the backrest heater element (if equipped) and remove the backrest foam pad.
11. Detach the lumbar assembly retainer clips.
12. Remove the lumbar assembly.
13. Remove the 2 bolts and the backrest frame recliner.

To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
