ISSUE
Water and dirt can migrate into the tail lamp lens through the lens vent hole on some F-150 Flareside and Super Crew models only. Dirt, mist or fog can
accumulate in the lens as a result of this moisture.
ACTION
Install foam sealing block onto the lens vent. The foam block will stop any further moisture from accumulating in the lens. Refer to the following Service
Procedure for details.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Remove the tail lamp assembly.
2.
Clean the backside of the tail lamp and body panel to remove any debris or moisture.
3.
Insert the Foam Sealing Block (1L3Z-15278C90-AA) into the hole where the tail lamp wire harness is routed through the body panel.
4.
Reinstall the same tail lamp.
NOTE
DO NOT REPLACE THE TAIL LAMP UNLESS IT IS BROKEN. THE TAIL LAMP LENS WILL CLEAR UP ON ITS OWN OF ANY
INTERNAL MOISTURE.
