Hose/Line HVAC: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

1. Remove the battery and the battery tray.
2. Perform the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure to remove the refrigerant. Refer to:  Heating and Air Conditioning, Service and

Repair, Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure, See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Service and Repair/Refrigerant Discharging and
Recovery procedure

3. Disconnect the condenser to evaporator line spring lock coupling from the A/C evaporator core.

4. Disconnect the condenser lower fitting.

NOTE:  Use a backup wrench to hold the line during disconnection to prevent damage to the condenser to evaporator line.

5. Remove the line bracket nut.
