Connect battery negative cable, then remove memory saver.

Refill engine cooling system.

Start and run engine until normal operating temperature is reached.

Check all coolant hoses for leaks. Repair as necessary.

Check coolant level. Top-off as necessary.
Service Procedure B
TUBE-IN-TUBE FITTING
1.
Install memory saver, then disconnect battery negative cable.
2.
Remove clean air tube from throttle body and air cleaner.
3.
Remove throttle body splash shield.
4.
Disconnect throttle/speed control cables from throttle body.
5.
Disconnect throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.
6.
Remove throttle body from upper intake manifold.
7.
Remove the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve assembly and set aside with the electrical connector attached. Keep the old IAC gasket to protect the
surface when removing and installing the PCV fittings.
8.
Remove the vacuum hose from the EGR fitting attached to the upper intake manifold. Refer to Figure 13.
9.
Disconnect PCV hose from the upper intake manifold fitting. See Figure 13.
10.
Use a chisel to cut off the plastic PCV fitting or remnants of the fitting flush with the underside of the upper intake manifold.
11.
Remove (draw-out) the old plastic PCV fitting as follows:
