Accelerator Pump: Adjustments

Note:  The primary throttle shaft lever (overtravel lever) has three holes and the accelerating pump link has 2 to 4 holes to control the pump stroke for
various atmospheric temperatures, operating conditions and specific engine applications, Fig. 7. Adjustment holes are not provided on the temperature
compensated accelerator pump carburetors.The stroke should not be changed from the specified setting.

1. Support accelerator pump housing at roll pin connection.
2. Using a suitable punch, tap retainer pin from accelerator pump cover and lever.
3. Rotate lever and rod assembly upward until key on rod end is aligned with key hole on pump overtravel lever.
4. Remove rod, clip and pin assembly from overtravel lever.
5. Position rod, clip and pin assembly in the specified hole, then reassemble pump link and rod assembly.
