Connect a jumper wire between the Self Test Input (STI) Connector and the Signal Return (ground) of the Self Test Connector, Figs. 6 and 7.

Turn ignition key to Run position but do not start engine.
4.
Ensure that ISC plunger retracts, Fig. 8. Wait approximately 10 seconds for plunger to fully retract.
5.
Shut off key, then remove jumper wire and air cleaner.
6.
Apply parking brake and place selector lever in N.
7.
Ensure that throttle lever is at idle stop. If not, check for binding or interference in throttle system. Do not attempt to adjust idle stop.
8.
Ensure that cable routing is free of sharp bends or pressure points and that cable operates freely. Lubricate TV lever ball stud with suitable
lubricant as necessary.
