Air Filter Element: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Open the (A) air cleaner clamp and set the (B) outlet engine air cleaner aside.
2. Remove the (A) air cleaner element (ACL element) from the (B) open end of inlet engine air cleaner.
INSTALLATION
CAUTION: The air cleaner outlet tube should be securely sealed to prevent unmetered air from entering the engine.
NOTE: The inlet engine air cleaner has an alignment tab which fits into a slot on the outlet engine air cleaner. This ensures a good seal and keeps
unmetered air from entering the engine.
1. Install the (A) air cleaner element into the (B) open end of the inlet engine air cleaner.
