Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
WARNING:
The electrical power to the air suspension system must be shut off prior to hoisting, jacking or towing an air suspension vehicle. This can be
accomplished by turning off the air suspension switch located in the RH kick panel area. Failure to do so may result in unexpected inflation or deflation
of the air springs which may result in shifting of the vehicle during these operations.
1. Raise and support the vehicle.
2. Disconnect the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor electrical connector.
3. Release the tension on the accessory drive belt.
1. Remove the A/C compressor.

Remove the A/C compressor bolts.

Remove the A/C compressor and position aside.
NOTE: Do not remove lines from the A/C compressor.
5. Remove the (A) CKP sensor bolt and the (B) CKP sensor.
