Positive Crankcase Ventilation System Modification
Affected Vehicles:
Certain 1997 F-150 Trucks equipped with 4.6L engines.
Replacement
1.
Disconnect PCV from right valve cover.
2.
Disconnect PCV tube from rear of throttle body adaptor.
3.
Remove PCV tube and valve from the vehicle. See Figure 1.
4.
Push new foam insulation sleeve over PCV tube. DO NOT slit the foam. Push on from one end.
5.
Connect PCV hose to the rear of the throttle body adaptor.
6.
Insert PCV into the right valve cover.
